Back To School With Horse Shoes

We are eager to kick off our first September party with a marvelous band making their NYC debut at MONDO! They're called HORSE SHOES and hail from Orlando, Florida and sound like current Swedish contemporaries The Legends and The Embassy! Fans of Shelflife Records (Days, Champagne Riot) as well as The Field Mice and Sarah Records will love these songs.

Come out to catch HORSE SHOES live @ Mondo September 5th! The first 25 at the door will receive CD giveaways courtesy of Shelflife Records.

My Favorite Season

Summer is winding down. As Fall approaches, the smell of Summer in the city starts to fade. With it goes the optimism of backyard BBQ's, long-distance bike rides, day trips to the beach and--for me--a slight sense of melancholy always follows. Nevertheless, Fall is definitely my favorite season. With CMJ approaching and bands lining up to go on tour, there's plenty to look forward to. In the spirit of celebrating that point at which the end of one season turns into the start of another, here a few tracks for your listening pleasure...

Summer Hits

Black Kids - Look At Me (When I Rock Wichoo)
From their stellar Summer release Partie Traumatic. Fantastic Stuff!

My Teenage Stride - Theme From Teenage Suicide
From their Lesser Demons EP release. Indie Pop at it's best.

Fall Forecast

Stereolab - Valley Hi!
From their upcoming release Chemical Chords. Light and lovely.

Broken Social Scene Presents : Brendan Canning - Love Is New
From the upcoming release Something For All Of Us... Canada gets their groove back.

Enjoy!
